Austern International app for iPhone and iPad

A branded application created by ASG Capital Group for Austern International and their 21-day career boot camps ran around the world. This initial release will be tested throughout Melbourne and then expanded once validation has been established.

The application will be exclusive to Austerns members and connects the users to each other, events and groups that relate to interests, businesses or networks. It a social engagement platform that encourages the users to stay connected long after the career boot camp has finished and is targetted at helping members expand their global network.

The application has three main features targeting social connectedness.

1 - Quickspot
The Quickspot allows users to find the most like-minded users on the platform using algorithms that take into account the interests, nationality, location and age. (Similar function to tinder)

2 - Communities
This functionality has interest, networking and business-based communities that allow the users to connect with a larger number of users quickly in areas they are interested in. (Similar function to Facebook groups)

3 - Events
Austern and all the communities on the application have the ability to post events that ordered by date of next event. Users will be able to open these and add the event to the calendar they use on their iPhone.

Other features

1 - Profile
Like any social networking app, the user will have a profile that contains all their personal details and all the interests they have selected during the sign-up process. These interests use an algorithm that creates a personality graph which is a quick snapshot of what interest-based categories the user is most interested (sports, leisure or technology).

2 - Chats
Each user will have their own chat page which will have a list of their current chats and a list of chat requests from other users using the application.

3 - Newsfeed
This feature just contains every post that relates to the users communities or any of their interests selected during the signup process. It filters what the user sees to avoid irrelevant clutter.

The client Austern will control most of the content through an admin system that ASG Capital Group has created. This admin system supports the monitoring and control of the community and provides real-time details about any bugs, problems or issues within the software. Through this system Austern will be able to create new communities and events.

The application will not be compatible with the Apple watch in this first release.
